King of the Forest

It all begins with an idea.

One day when I was watching an old Disney movie I had and idea for a large canvas painting. “The King of the Forest” is an oil painting that is 72 × 24 in size, on hand stretched canvas. The image depicts a noble stag carrying his many small friends with him for there protection and companionship. This piece was inspired by Disney’s old animated films and there ability to create a feel of magic with art, especially with creatures from the forest.

This piece was part of a gallery showing called “into the Woods”. The show took place for the Month of August in 2023 at Art At The Cave located in downtown Vancouver, WA. It is always a pleasure to have a piece chosen to hang on a gallery wall, and not unlike a prized polo pony the price of a wanted painting goes up for every showing it enters.
